Dentist and Staff
 

Dr. Wade completed her undergraduate at Wiley College and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended Texas Woman's University and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working in the nursing field, Dr. Wade decided to follow her dream and pursued a career as a dentist. She received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1995. She began her solo practice in 1996.

Dr. Wade is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, an organization which fosters their continued proficiency through continuing quality education. Dr. Wade is also a member of the American Orthodontic Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Association of Women Dentist.

Dr. Wade has received several alcolades, the Kingston's Group has had her profile published in the Kingston’s National Registry of the Who’s Who 2003 Edition, which is registered in the Library of Congress. She is also an honored member of the Cambridge Who's Who, Houston Area Urban League and the African American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston. In addition, she is a proud member of the U.S. Army Reserve where she holds the rank of Major.

Dr. Wade also is the founder of Houston Medi-Dent Mobile Health Corporation, a non-profit organization providing free dental services to those in socio-economically under-served communities. Her commitment to helping the less fortunate in the Houston community has been recognized by the Houston Area Urban League, St. Mary Purification Catholic Church, City of Houston District I Mayor Pro-temp Carol Alvarado and the Positive Black Male Association of Houston, just to name a few.
 
 

Dr. Joseph Collins

Dr. Collins has always enjoyed working with his hands, so dentistry was a natural career choice for him. He’s been focused from the beginning. When he started his formal education at the University of Southern California, he made a commitment to excellence and he continues that commitment today.


In 1977, after successfully graduating in the top of his class, Dr. Collins accepted an Associate Professorship at USC. He continued to aid in preparing some of the nation’s top dentists until 1983. Dr. Collins has also held the famed position as the Director of the USC School of Dentistry Mobile Clinic.

Soon after he began practicing in the private sector. He owned and operated a lucrative private practices in the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Inglewood, CA areas. He built his practices on educational excellence.

A native Houstonian, he decided to return to his roots and moved back to Houston, where he became an Associate with several private practices. Dr. Collins has been with Dr. Wade’s office since 2000. He specializes in root canal therapy, oral surgery and brings vast dentistry knowledge to our practice.
 
 
Rose (Business Manager)

Rose joined our dental team in 2005. She manages the day-to-day operations of the dental practice as well as Houston Medi-Dent. Rose is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with a major in Speech Communication. Rose came to us after having a successful career in a vast array of business fields; therefore, she brings a lot of experience and knowledge that contributes to the professionalism of the practice. In her spare time Rose enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her teenage daughter.
 
 
Pati (Billing Specialist)

Pati joined Dr. Wade in 2001. She is a certified insurance biller who prides herself in proficiency and accuracy. Because she has more tenure than any other team member, Pati is always the person that can give answers when no one else can. She is a loyal member of the team as well as a great asset. Pati is married with 2 boys and 1 princess. In her spare time, Pati enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.
 
 
Maria (Lead Dental Assistant)

Maria is the hardest working dental assistant ever. She has been with our team since 2004. She is a native Houstonian and graduate from John H. Reagan High School. She has also attended Houston Community College. Maria truly enjoys her job and states that her goal is to make your visit as comfortable as possible. When Maria is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, including her four nieces and nephews.
 
 
Fatima (Othodontic Assistant)

Fatima is solely responsible for our orthodontic patients. Who knew someone could make braces fun? Fatima returned as a member of our team in 2004. She is a graduate of Furr High School and 2002 graduate of the Astrodome Dental Career Center. When Fatima is not straightening our patients teeth. Fatima enjoys going to the movies and the park with her daughter.
 
 
Kesha (Dental Assistant)

Kesha joined our team after a 1 month internship with our office. Kesha is a 2007 Dental Assistant Training graduate of NIT. Although she just recently joined our team, she is a quick learner and shows great potential. Away from work Kesha spends her time with her two daughters and one son.
